Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter for WPDE-TV. Later, she was a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell is a leading anchor at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has reported on occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys.
