Mercedes Schlapp, the White House strategy director for communications is a difficult task. Mercedes Schlapp faces a challenging task as White House's strategic communications advisor. Schlapp never wavered from her goals, and she worked closely to work closely with White House policy and political teams. To date, her focus has been issues such as safety in schools as well as the opioid epidemic infrastructure, trade, along with other issues. Schlapp's current job doesn't involve many interactions with reporters. She garnered some interest after her name was mentioned as a possible candidate to succeed Hope Hicks in the role of director of communications. There has been a lot of fighting. Schlapp's allies began fighting with Tony Sayegh over the media. Schlapp said that when the Washington Examiner ran a story which contained negative criticisms of Sayegh she had a conversation with him.
